We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Amberly Park World of Learning to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 58 children each day.

  • At capacity our centre caters for up to 58 children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm with convenient on-site parking. Located in Narre Warren South and close to nearby suburbs Narre Warren, Hampton Park and Cranbourne North.

Your role

  • Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks that are healthy, varied, and appealing to young children
  • Ensure all food is stored, handled, and served safely, following all relevant food safety regulations
  • Ensure menus meet the dietary needs of the children, including any allergies or cultural requirements
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, including managing food and equipment inventory
  • Collaborate with our Educators to support the overall health and well-being of the children

 Our Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience cooking in a licensed childcare centre or similar setting
  • Knowledge of child nutrition and food safety regulations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Successful Applicants must hold

    • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
    • A current Working with Children’s Check and First Aid
    • Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
