Community Kids Victoria Point in Queensland are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cook, with prior experience in a Childcare Centre Kitchen (preferred). This is an autonomous role where you will be responsible for the full daily function of our Commercial Kitchen, producing high-quality, nutritious meals for our high occupancy Centre.

Our freshly painted childcare and kindergarten centre in Victoria Point offers innovative early learning programs within a safe and nurturing environment. The centre features expansive, shaded outdoor play areas with natural elements, spacious rooms equipped with updated resources, and an exciting kitchen renovation recently completed in November!

This is a Full Time role working 38hrs per week, Monday to Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements. 
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
• A current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
